Reed Bingaman

Managing Director

Reed Bingaman has more than 25 years of operational and consulting experience with an emphasis on enterprise transformation, value creation, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, spanning multiple industries. Throughout his career, Reed has become a trusted advisor to private equity funds and other sponsors, including serving in executive roles at portfolio companies across the investment cycle.

Most recently, Reed was a Managing Director at EY-Parthenon, focused on buy-side and sell-side operational support across the transaction lifecycle, from diligence through post-close transformation and value creation. A representative example of his work includes leading the standalone modeling and operational carve-out planning for a provider of mass transit operations and management services, then the post-transaction enterprise transformation for the remaining business.

Before joining EY-Parthenon, Reed served in executive roles for portfolio companies of sponsors from angel and venture capital to large private equity. As a CFO for a private equity portfolio company, Reed led the complete reorganization of the finance function to reduce cost and elevate the performance and efficiency of business decision support and planning and budgeting processes, all while leading cross-functional SG&A cost reduction and management through multiple tactical initiatives. In another private equity-backed portfolio company, Reed led the enterprise-wide operating model re-design and development of the associated organizational structure, delivering EBITDA improvement that exceeded the sponsor’s post-close targets.  In another CFO role, Reed led all phases of multiple acquisitions, delivered the company’s first audited financials, negotiated mezzanine and LOC financing, drove a new product launch, and executed preparations for the angel and venture investor exit.

Earlier in his career, Reed worked at Deloitte in the Strategy & Operations consulting practice, where he led large-scale serial divestitures for Fortune 100 companies, multiple tax-free spin-offs, and enterprise and supply chain-focused value creation and transformation programs.

Prior to Deloitte, Reed worked in the automotive sector at Ford Motor Company and Lear Corporation in multiple roles across the finance function.

Reed completed his BA in Economics and Communication from the University of Michigan and his MBA concentrating in Marketing and Strategy from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
