Steve Maddox brings more than 20 years of operational, leadership, and strategic advisory experience, focusing on performance improvement, value creation, and execution.
Throughout his career, Steve has been trusted by the world’s leading private investors to build organic and inorganic growth strategies, execute across the M&A lifecycle, and help them maximize value through the design and structuring of portfolio company operating models and execution of enterprise transformations to drive growth and value creation.
Most recently, Steve served as a key member of the executive team at Envision Healthcare, a KKR portfolio company, as the Head of Enterprise Growth Strategy and Health Plan Relations and the leader of their physician practice management business line. He also served as the Head of Transformation and Strategy for the AMSURG ambulatory services management company.
Prior to Envision, he was a partner at Deloitte Consulting, where he was a leader in the Value Creation Services offering within the Strategy and Mergers & Acquisition operating portfolios. He focused on driving profitable growth within private equity funds and portfolio companies. At Deloitte, Steve worked across several industry sectors, including healthcare services, retail healthcare, healthcare payers, consumer retail, consumer products, food and beverage, and agriculture.
Steve began his professional career in the United States Marine Corps, where he served for 10 years. He is a member of the Marine Corps Mustang Association. Steve has an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University.
