Director
Eric De Santis has spent more than 18 years in finance and distressed debt sectors, with over 12 years focused on loan restructurings and workouts.
Eric’s experience spans a variety of sectors, including large corporate, project finance and real estate. His experience also includes work in a wide range of industries, such as government contractors, retail, energy, commercial real estate, utilities, project finance, automotive, air cargo, telecom, and pharmaceutical distribution.
Prior to joining M3, Eric served as Executive Director at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in New York, where he managed a portfolio of distressed U.S. credits with the objective of restoring deteriorating loans to health and maximizing value of non-performing loans. Eric has played a key role in restructuring cases as administrative agent, steering committee member, ad hoc committee member, and as sole lender.
Earlier in his career at CIBC, Eric was a credit analyst in the bank’s leveraged finance group. Prior to that role, Eric worked on the bank’s loan sales and trading desk. Prior to joining CIBC, Eric worked at Morgan Stanley, focused on the agency management of syndicated loans originated by the bank.
Eric is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from SUNY Albany, with a major in Finance and Management Information Systems.
